When acronyms attack...

Posted by Trey Reeme on September 17th, 2007

Morriss, Brent, David, William, and I shared a laugh with Matt Vance after our sessions at the Washington CUL Annual Convention.

Matt works for Industrial Credit Union and recently called a member, introducing himself as “Matt from ICU.”

Morriss tells the story -

The member’s first reaction was panic, thinking that her husband, who was in the hospital, had perhaps taken a turn for the worse.

Ahh, good times.

That is sad and funny at the same time.

On a similar note, I was a dog groomer during college for a company called “Furry Fantasies”.

Imagine the phone calls I had to make to unsuspecting husbands.

“Hi, this is Tony from Furry Fantasies – may I speak to your wife please?”
